Mochamad Ridwan Kamil is the 15th Governor of West Java, the most populous province of Indonesia. He was also the Mayor of Bandung. He was elected as mayor of Bandung on 23 June 2013. Previously, he was an architect and lecturer in the Department of Architecture, Bandung Institute of Technology. Kamil founded architect firm Urbane Indonesia in 2004 with three partners. As a governor, Kamil is now more focused on mainstreaming the planning and development approach to the happy and creative communities. Kamil also had the opportunity to be the keynote speaker at Kenya UN-Habitat Assembly session with the theme of the advanced society being a happy society. |
